In your opinion, what is the best Raspberry Pi alternative? I have a lot of free time now that I have finished my IT course, and have nothing to do in class.

probly beaglebone
>>59674278
BeagleBone.
It's slight more open than the RaspPi.
>>59674278
depends on your usage
>>59674278
Depends what you want to do with it.
Orangepi pc, odroid are both good contenders from personal experience

Odroid. Has similar and faster boards, and they run android.

Who would ever want to run android?
>>59675627
the touch-optimized interface is nice to have if you are creating a touchscreen project
Hardkernel Odroid-C2
>>59674278
There isn't one. Why waste shekels on something else?
>>59674278
Happy with my first gen banana pi
>>59677856
this, they're great
beaglebone is good too
rest are fucking garbage, especially odroid & orange pi
literal garbage, they got high specs but 90% of features don't work.. spi, i2c etc
>>59677928
IIRC I got one of the orange pis when they ditched for whatever next model. Half the ports were DOA. Also their software support was chinky as can be.
>Use our ROM with blatant GPL violations download link is...????
>>59677987
yea that's the entire issue
software support is so fucking garbage
you can have a 10000000000000 core arm and it doesn't matter because the chinks have no fucking software and upload everything to google drive and retarded shit because they don't want to pay for bandwidth & they won't even make a torrent..
bananapi has some pretty solid OS's and I literally buy them for my main servers for the sata port then the rest of the office stuff uses raspberry pi's
(for thermal probing, switches, humidity sensors etc) usually have several per lab
