I don't know much about mini-PCs or NUCs or even PC sticks, however I'm looking to hook up a media center to my smart TV so I can stream torrents through something like Popcorn Time on MPC-HC, via HDMI.
I'd like to know what would be powerful enough to get the job done? I've been looking on Aliexpress at mini PCs as both online shopping and computing stores in my country are a meme. Any help would be appreciated.
any modern intel cpu with onboard video can do 1080p which is plenty

Just get a raspberry pi 3, install kodi, store all your media files on a seperate usb drive or external hdd and you're set. Also make sure to get a wireless keyboard/trackpad for it as well.
