Then I noticed some pages on XDA dev were showing ads.. I installed Firefox app and loaded the same page the ads weren't there.

I have rooted and installed adaway, blocked ads in hosts file etc like any normal android user. How the fuck was opera serving me ads.. Promptly uninstalled. Still use the desktop version however
