I'm on my first year of CS and I have an idea for a new tinder kind of app.
Basically my idea is like tinder meets facebook, what this mean is that beyond seeking people near, you find people with similar interest and hobbies as you.
I have find ugly or average males have no chance on tinder, like myself, so I think girls would like more an app to find potential partners based on tastes rather than a first physical impression.
I do think tinder don't let you seek potential long term partners and facebook doesn't let you seek new friends that live near you.
Thanks for the idea

WOW! Never heard that one before
You're not in school in the hopes of starting you're own business. You're in there to build a career by working for others. Now stop with the ideation.

You clearly do not know women
Sounds like something a beta nu-male would come up with
meeting new people sounds gross

Great idea except nobody will use it.
The only reason Tinder got 'popular' is because they hired million dollar companies to shill them in the media and knew the right people in SV. Cuckleberg only got popular because his app was used on Ivy League campuses, so everybody wanted to "network" with other Ivy Leaguers.
You will learn quick that SV is 90% marketing and 10% actual innovation or skill. It's all about getting in and pulling a slot lever in order to jackpot and get out before the bubble explodes.

> I think girls would like more an app to find potential partners
I have one reason why that wouldn't work: an 'app' is made for a quick action. Search, swipe left, swipe right, hi, hi, lets bang ok. You're trying to cram an inadequately long goal into its purpose. It's like an "app" for growing kids.
