Google pays their employees to work on open source. They opened a lot of their own tooling, shit like releasing bazel, grpc, kurbenetes, etc

The Intelligence agencies are introducing complex, bloated Free and Open Source software into the GNU/Linux ecosystems so that they can exploit it's security holes.
Chromium/Chrome on the other hand are actually secure and good software that just happens to be made by people who have contracts with the U.S government. Thus, making it extremely easy for them to get keep an eye on you.
