Generally I stick to Demonoid for general, and scour elsewhere for rare things. I also tend to leave things seeding indefinitely (and leave my computer on) so long as the tracker allows it. I'm on Dimeadozen, and they only allow a certain number of seeds at a time, which is really hard on the ratio, knowing what to seed and the sheer numbers. I also have an Underground Gamer, which has been easy to keep up. I also had one at Pleasure Dome, but I found I didn't need it with UG.
As well, there is bakabt, which I am seeding the shit out of things, since I was downloading more than I should have been at one point. (I need to set up my old downloads for seeding, now that I think about it.)
Mostly I can never find music. I tried one of the interviews for What.cd cold when they did the free-leech, but I failed, having not looked things up and assuming too much.
The concept of private trackers for all their quality control really interest me. How well does the model work?
