I know this is probably a dumb question but I need to ask it.
I just bought new PC parts. I was installing the CPU, and CPU cooler whenever I thought I put it on upside down so I reseated it.
I never turned on the PC at all, and I'm just kind of wondering if I should reapply paste or if it'll be fine since I never turned it on after doing this, any help would be appreciated.

Put an AIO cooler on CPU, logo was upside so I took it back off and flipped it like a moron. Is the thermal paste that was on it fine, or do I need to take it off and reapply it

It's fine thermal paste is not as fickle as everyone suggests and you really do only need a tiny coating of it. Pre-installed paste will expand to cover the whole CPU when activated by heat. Considering you haven't even turned the machine on you are fine. Although if you had rabbit like that for a few days it would be fine too. Just a reminder change your paste every year to a year and six months for better performance.

Awesome thanks man. I thought it'd be alright but wasn't 100% sure. Didn't want to fuck up after just spending a shit load of money on this build.
