We know the NSA has a harder time cracking iPhones than android phones from the leaks. The secure enclave is a serious problem for them.

ios uses encryption by default where as in android you need to enable it. So it's quite opposite.

Android phones are designed for surveillance. Even without google crap they're still not exactly the best thing a criminal can use to hide anything.

I'm pretty sure that because Android has almost the whole marketshare there's also more people from every category there. Rich, poor, straight, gay and so on. The difference is that you don't have to be any specific one of those because Android has something for everyone.
