In theory, yes, but different companies in different regions are doing different things. What happens is that the studio sends a small group of guys sitting in a distribution company studio a copy of the master video file on a hard drive. They re-master it to fit a Bluray disc, and then add whatever extras and design a case and all that and send all that to manufacturing.

One of these companies either is inept, does distribution for cheap on BD25 instead of BD50, or had to fit more stuff on the disc for their region and thus had to lower the bitrate.

This isn't hard to figure out if you...you know...have a job.

Lately private trackers have had a influx of users, who like nothing more than compare sites, bash sites, advertise sites etc. to the point, where we really have to start wondering what their motives are. While some sites seem to actually like this publicity, we at Hydra do not! If there is drama, keep us out of it. If some non-member mentions hydra or spreads misinformation, do not correct them. If you think it's a security risk etc. report it to staff here. Otherwise let them think whatever they want to think.

We consider public exposure a security risk. Security risks do not get warned. We don't want to be in tracker spreadsheets or the likes, and we do not want our stats shared. If you have some post or page detailing Hydra, and you are not staff or someone otherwise allowed to do so, now would be the time to discretely make it disappear.

We take criticism in and do not warn or otherwise punish users for speaking their mind, as long as it is kept in our forum/irc or even PM here instead of elsewhere. Just as we expect users to not take their troubles with other sites to our site forum. Our site, our rules and policies. Their site, their rules and policies. Just please try and keep a respectful tone.
