This isn't even remotely true and if you were who you say you were you'd know why: The brain is a general-purpose semantic learning machine. It has no actual access to the outside world - only the patterns the sensory organs feed it. It also doesn't care where those incoming signals are. You can feed it *any* patterned signal stream and it will figure out what it means. The brain is the best thing we know of for operating with incomplete information.

You don't need anywhere near complete knowledge of the brain to do most neuroprosthetics. Yes you'll need more to do a full-body prosthesis, but is unlikely you'll need complete knowledge (if such a thing were even possible)

Problem with uploading consciousness to a machine is that two major scientific breakthroughs need to be achieved - teleportation and 100% complete understanding of the human brain, 99.9% isn't gonna be good enough.

Because teleportation and achieving it answers some big questions of consciousness if it is somehow achieved.

Plenty of science fiction has been written about teleportation as well and uploading your consciousness to a machine requires understanding the mechnaics behind a successful teleportation as well.
