Why do no companies make tv's with matte screens?
because matte screens have shit colors and look ugly as sin
apple got the shiny meme right, and it looks good as hell

how can they look good when you can't see anything at all thanks to glare

Stop using your laptop with a spotlight behind your shoulder

It makes the SCREEN look good; just not anything ON the screen.
Exactly the sort of tradeoff you would expect Apple users to value.

Damn right it looks good, because I'm looking at myself. You people are just jealous you can't afford it.

TV's, stupid. Not laptops.

My TV is in a position where the glare is bad. there's no other spot for it and in scenarios like that It's only usable at night, when it's pitch black, because of how glossy it is.
Gloss is fucking shit if there is any light source in the room.

How is it?

Ya, but without the DVD player. It's pretty good if you have a small apartment or in college. Doesn't have all the features of larger TV's but good for a cheap one.
