Ok, /g/, you did quite a good job when you had to design the worst laptop.

Let's see if you can keep it real with this one.
Place your features in greentext.

Pic... kinda related I guess.

add some weird mouse cursor that isnt blinking sometimes, standing still and other times it's blinking regularly.

add some intellisense popups, actually just copy what kdevelop does 1:1 and you got the worst way to do that
256 color popups, every word is a hyperlink. Just moving the mouse over your code triggers 5 autocomplete/doc popups

Moreover, text wrapping literally alters the file and adds new lines wherenever a line extends off the screen, breaking all your shit if you shrink the window horizontally. It can not be undone, so if you shrink your window to one column width your entire file is now reformatted to a single character per line and you have to fix it line-by-line manually.

Window tiling settings are reset on exit, and are set to random values when started up.
Three menus for "setup" "settings" and "config". Whenever you want to change a setting, you have to figure out which menu its in, because that too is randomized.
Every hour on the hour, the program is updated. Even if there is no updates, it will reinstall.
Must log in to use it, password requires the usual insane conditions. Cannot copypaste into it, must be typed by hand.
Full screen. Alt-tab crashes the program.
To load a file, you must type in the directory relative to the program's install directory. This means you'll have to input ../../../ if applicable.
Whenever the program crashes, you must fill out a report yourself as to what happened. All hard drives are copied and sent to the server for diagnostic info.
Because of that, it's incompatible with Linux as it will try to copy /proc.

I don't even know how they came up with this, or who thought this was a good idea.

The 4dgl workshop editor is a goldmine for horrible IDE/text-editor features. At some point we had a compilation error that was reported as if it originated from another file. E.g. we made a mistake in A.4dg, but the compiler reported a mistake in B.4dg

The ctrl-Z feature only works sometimes, it might randomly insert indentation, or forget/skip one part of your history when used in sequence.

The color scheme hurts your eyes

It has more horrible features that I can't really express very clearly, it manages to completely mess up your intuitive understanding of how indentation works. It really hurts.

I suspect I might not be believed about this, but I do most of my programming (almost all of it C) in the OSX version of Word. I use a proportional font, autocorrect off, multiple font sizes, styles, and colours to emphasise structure and importance, inline images (think annotated screenshots of bug reports etc) and, on longer files, a table of contents. My makefile uses catdoc on each input file and feeds it through a short sed-based pipeline before sending it over to clang. Source control isn't an issue- I use SVN instead of git and it integrates with Word's native change comparison.

It's a bit awkward for some things but it makes for incredibly readable and maintainable files. This is my work setup; I don't do much/any personal coding anymore but if I were to get back into it I would absolutely set up the same kind of system for my own work.

The IDE's debugger will never work properly unless you set it up using some config file written in an esoteric language that you've never heard of. Every update of your package manager will overwrite or append to this file.

The IDE will beg for donations every time you open it. Don't accidentally miss the microscopic close button on this dialog or it will open up to their website which is filled to the brim with flash animations and loud noises.

Re-opening projects will not save your folds, filter organization, tabs, and windows. There are about eight windows open by default, leaving you with very few lines for editing. You might as well not turn off your computer.

Just for fun, the IDE will change it's keybinds to a different style every week, whether it be vi-like, emacs, or other, it will leave you in a constant state of discomfort.
