So between these two, which of these is the stronger purchase?
proc
16g ram is like a lot, you'd almost never use it, but you'd use more cpu everyday.
A gun to kill yourself
also lol @ 200dollaridoo ram upgrade

Ram
Mac OS loves to eat that
Also just get a good laptop and hackingtosh it

If you are going to use this laptop for web browsing and shitposting don't get anything
If you want to render videos choose CPU upgrade
If you want to have a smooth experience with mac OS(future versions of it) and run a bunch of programs choose RAM

how would you explain this discrepancy?:

A new intel core i7 is not gonna be obsolete for the next 5-10 years
8GB ram is already becoming obsolete because of shitty photoshop devs and heavy websites made by college faggots

thanks . i think i agree with this

Yes mac OS. Is really heavy operating system.
For gods sake you needed more than 4Gb of ram in order to use el capitan properly
Also mac os has the really bad habit of not closing the cli backends of gui apps and eating up your RAM
8-16 gigs of ram and you're set for the foreseeable future.
