But it's shit.
Occasionally using 99% of disk for random malicious scans (oh the irony)
Downloading updates whenever it wants (no option to schedule it for like 3am)

Will have to replace hdd with ssd most likely or downgrade to w7...

This. I literally just finished re-imaging a 4740s with Win7 Pro for resale, only difference between the OEM disks and a vanilla install is no bundled drivers. You just need to go to their support website and download them.
