If you want an honest reason OP, many sites associate Edge with IE (rightfully so) and serve worse versions of their sites.
It also didn't support .webm when I last used it a few weeks ago.

What's more, it opens new empty tabs much slower than any other modern browser I've tried. Basically it's just a rebranded IE with support for some modern web technologies.

In short, it's worse than Chrome.

It has webm support however it has the newest codec whilst 4chan uses a much older codec.
