How many of you are actually using i3 window manager?
does it worth to use it over DEs?
I used it, it's pretty nice if you have a large monitor. now i use herbstluftwm, which has more flexible tiling options
Why is i3 the most popular window manager for pedos?

POO IN THE LOO

i3wm is pretty dope
be prepared to spend a lot of time customizing it with macros and shit like ricing.

I use it every day for the last several months. its hard to go back to a non-tiling wm/de.
Shit just makes sense.
I use it every day, have been for quite a while. It sucks having to use anything else because it just feels inefficient.
You can always use it on top of your de of choice. I use i3 with xfce.

I use i3, but in all honestly awesome is better.
it has multiple different layouts and even a floating layout, so you don't need to control that per window like you do in i3.
I will say that theming is better in i3, and setting up the configuration file is much easier.
just use cmder op

I use it on my 800MHz Core i7 Dell Laptop. A real WM is too slow for it. The trackpad is also shit on it.

I like awesome as well but custom layouts are damn near impossible. Sucks on a large monitor.

interesting.
I had the exact opposite feelings towards it.
I used awesome on two monitors for a long time and I actually really enjoyed it. I really only used 2 different layouts and floating mode though.

It was fine when I had two 1080p monitors but at 1440p, not having good layouts for more than two columns is unfortunate
>>59563996
trying it now. its terrible. you cant do anything with mouse in it.

ah, I can see how that might get annoying.
My setup is two 1080p monitors and it works fine, although recently I've switched to openbox.
