I have an old htx one x phone, the battery is really bad.

Charging from 0-100% takes like 4 hours with a normal usb cable and charger/pc usb port.
Charging with a high amp charger and adequate usb cable doesn't make a change, it just tortures the battery.

But..

I bought this nice looking usb cable, nothing special with it but looks.
The thing is, is that it charges the phone in about 40minutes, 0-100%. From a normal charger/pc usb port.

What the fuck is going on here?

So my phone crashed and then boot looped for half an hour or so. Since then things have been really weird with it. My ringtone, message tone and alarm are all gone and I can't add them back, the screen randomly turns off whilst I'm using the phone, music randomly stops playing at random points and the time changed to be 12 hour instead of 24. I ran CM 13 on my Redmi note 3 and it ran smoothly for over half a year. Camera quality for some reason is worse than it is on MIUI.

Decided to install MIUI back and I regretted that decision.

Currently running AOSPExtended and it is actually really smooth, unexpectedly smooth. Make sure you install a MIUI firmware file.

I have a galaxy s4 I got $100 new in box in the fall because my only requirement were micro sd and 1080p. It also had the added bonus of replaceable battery, much much better camera compared to any $100 phone, and a pretty good dac.

Looking to upgrade my s7 as I just cracked the somewhat curved screen.

I don't think I want to wait for the s8 and that thing looks like it will be even more crackable.

I was looking at the G6 but I passed on the G5 after 2 G4s bootlooped and I'm worried about the same thing happening. The V20 looks nice but again LG has kind of burned by them.

One option would be Jolla. Sailfish OS is coming to Xperia phones in Q2 of this year. It's an official version so it will have Alien Dalvik so it can run Android apps. Don't know if there is a native telegram app but it shouldn't be hard to get working. SFOS is basically GNU/Linux with a proprietary UI.

Your other than option would be an iOS device. Don't bother with Windows phone as it is dead, same with Firefox OS.

just got a OnePlus One and put a straight talk AT&T SIM into it after a factory reset, it knows theres a SIM in there but says No Data SIM
Put the T Mobile SIM in it instead and i'm getting bars, went to straight talks website to activate and move my old phone number over, however I'm getting a message from a recording "the service you are attempting to use has been restricted or is unavailable.
