Haskell has some really smug assholes. Scala sometimes suffers from similar problems but having more industry involved helps keeping the category theorists in check.
Python attracts a lot of newbies and hispters who yet need to learn that fast prototyping and tutorials aren't everything.
Java has no community at all, the people writing COOPERATE JAVA aren't visible online and the Pajeets don't participate anything.
