How exactly do i setup a VM with linux that I can SSH into and host a server on that's accessible from the host?
Whenever i touch servers or SSH it always end in some shit blocking connections, i get mad as fuck and just continue playing games

#1. Have your VM acquire its IP from the same DHCP server as the host OS. Or set it manually if you like, but either way, have the VM's network adapter running in bridged mode. You should then be able to connect from host to VM.
#2. Port forwarding on your router to the VM if you want it accessible from outside your LAN.
