Hello my /bst/ brethren. Really considering getting two used Dell machines. One could get a GPU to do gaming/web browsing on the TV, and the other can go on my second desk for random things. Can snag both machines with no HDD for $185.99, comes with an i5 2500, and 4GB of RAM. Should I?

Yea that's what I figured. Had my eye on 2 Dell 1080p monitors for $160 a piece. They both have full tilt, rotate, etc. I'm looking to keep the monitor in my pic as the main gaming monitor. Use the 2 new ones for streaming 1080p movies/anime and turn the 2nd monitor vertical for browsing purposes.

ive actually been thinking about setting up a laptop in my car. ducttaped my x100e to the the passenger dashboard as a trial, worked decently 2bh. maybe setup a cantenna. or use a phone hotspot, i got huge data cap for reasons.

ideally I'd replace the radio with a terminal screen. have a little keyboard on the glove box, with a raspberry pi or something running inside. use it as music station and lynx machine.

I could get just one machine for half of that price. I doubt anything would break though, they usually rarely have any issues. The i5 2500 is still an awesome CPU, can handle anything.
I am leaning towards the two machines so that I could set up a TV rig, and one for my second setup. I am still thinking about it.

Where the fuck is the stupid question thread?

I finally upgraded myself to two monitors which look nice, but how do I best go about playing video games with them?
One is a G-sync gaming monitor and the other is an IPS one. Obviously, I only want to game on the G-sync one, but how do I go about doing this? Obviously, it can't simply be full screen, right?

I think all you have to do is set your G-sync monitor to "main display" in windows. Different wallpapers on each is easy, just stitch two images of the correct resolutions together in a photo editing software and tell windows to "span".

I have the Gsync monitor set up as the main as far as 1 is concerned. The other monitor displays as 2 under Identify.
But I don't have to do some Full screen windowed mode? Just regular full screen will work on just the Gsync monitor and not some sort of butchered super-widescreen between the two?

Regular full screen should work ok on the gsync monitor, but if you want to interact with anything on the second monitor it's going to minimize / you'll need to alt-tab.

Windowed full screen is preferable, because it wont minimize your game every time you click something on your second monitor.

The tapestry on the midi wall is pretty awful, I'd just take that down all together (two tapestry's in one room is usually a bad idea). Gonna get a new PC and want to know what are the best 27" monitors I can get for a dual setup? I love the LG 4k ones but they're expensive af and I'd probably need a really good graphics card for them.

Ah that sucks man. Well I paid like $100 for them so I would have sold them for like $80 or so. Need to sell these locally also, it's not even worth selling on Ebay. Nobody seems to want them though.
