How do these specs hold up by todays standards? Do you recommend that I upgrade anything? How far will this last me before I'll stutter in games?

Virgin life here.
These specs are not showoff, there's far far better. I'm actually curious about this, and I thought this would be a good board.

sort it out m80

Fuck, how do I solve this?
>inb4 download more ram
>GTX 1060

It's the 6GB model, Speccy is just being gay about it
>>59545829
What's the EVGA like? I've got mine clocking 2070ish MHz.
You specs are fine. I'd suggest another 4Gb of ram.
Just overclock your shit.
>>59545952
Oh. Mine don't say. MSI OC model.
>>59545952
It's really solid. Nice and cool, good performance. What about the MSI?
I was thinking of adding another 4GB of ram, but a lot suggest it's a waste, so I have no idea at this point.

The MSI card could use better cooling. The fins are pretty thick. But my major issue is how locked down it is. But that's with all pascal cards.
I want to give it more volts. I'm certain I could hit 2200 MHz on air.
At the moment it's not liking anything more than 50-55c before it starts to drop volts. Even tho there's still a fuck ton of headroom.
Get the ram if you cant just sit and play a game and need to tab out for X.

Old pic of fins.
>>59546154
Yeah, maybe I should actually get more ram now that I think about it, playing Just Cause 3 maxes out my ram nearly, like I have to close every application nearly, it's crazy.
>>59545884
get into bios, turn off RAM autoconfig, leave voltage at 1.5V, bump it up to 1600MHz, check if the timings are still 9-9-9-24 and you're good to go
>>59546197
Also download the EVGA GPU overclocker. It's easy as fuck. Set everything max that doesn't have MHz on it, then the stuff that says Mhz like core clock start at +X00 or whatever to get to 2000Mhz. Run a benchmark for a bit, keep an eye out for 'glitches' if none. Add more Mhz till you do, then back it off around 10Mhz. The same with memory clock.

Oh jesus, I mean, I would do it, but I'm scared of fucking with anything in the BIOS and also I have trust issues with 4chan.
>>59546354
I won't overclock till I get better cooling. Everything is stock right now, and I ain't trustin' that
>>59546378
if you're so scared, then just back up your BIOS onto some USB drive to revert it in case your PC fails to boot. And it's not like would brick your pc, the most that can happen is that os won't boot.
Also is BIOS detects that something is borked then it'll load failsafe.

EDIT: Mem clock will be a +100Mhz at a time thing till you hit +300.
My settings so you have a better clue.
My card came with a 1910ish core clock. So it works from the clock the card comes with. So yours will be a larger number entered for that.
>>59546400
My fan curve is 'aggressive' But these fans are quiet as fuck. You should aim for a clock of 1900 if your cooling is lack luster.
Whilst MSI's fins are beefy, there's a lot of metal.
