I'd just like to inject for a moment, what you are calling Ubuntu is in fact Debian/Bloat/Amazon or as I like to call it Debian plus bloat and Amazon.

Exactly
A distro that has a functioning, reliable display manager, so Debian with MATE if you want to use APT for some reason

But it's not *buntu. I believe *buntu means x/l/kubuntu/Ubuntu mate, and excludes other Ubuntu based distros such as neon, zorin, elementary, LXLE, Lite, etc. All of which are better than the community ubuntu editions.

It's the absolute best starter OS for anyone moving from windows to Linux. One day of use and they'll get it.

Screen tearing has nothing to do with Linux or DE. It's because you're using libre drivers with poorly supported hardware.

No doubt. I love Ubuntu, but every time I try to get vanilla Ubuntu a shot, I have to give up. Unity just does not run well, and it's not efficient to use.

Ubuntu Studio One

You are lying. I am using Ubuntu Mate with AMD proprietary drivers. And I still got screen tearing when watching video in Firefox. Video on Chrome and everywhere else works well.
This is why Linux is so shit. All these fucking problems that should not be acceptable in 2017. Is not funny anymore. Maybe if your time is worth nothing.

What a bullshit thing to say. Maybe you're a retard. I've ran from Ubuntu to Arch and I've never had any of these problems you idiots whine about. Sometimes I wonder how hard Microsoft is shilling this board because it's so outrageous.
