Pretty much. It's replacing everything. I was at CES '17 and it was the sea of USB-C devices. Pretty much everything had a plug for it.
It's gonna kill every other connector... which is kinda scary because my current computer doesn't have one and I need a new mobo to support it.
Go with MBP.
for comfy macbook get 2014-2015
>only have laptops that have usb-a
>want to buy usb-c peripherals for future-proofing
>no adapter exists for usb-c peripherals into usb-a host
What do.

1. research if it possible to make such adapters (technically)
2. if yes, start crowdfunding campaign to sponsor your new adapter
3. ???
4. profit

If you have a lot of old hardware you're clinging onto, then older Macbook. USB C is only going to increase in ubiquity. Though just as well, I'm sure there's USB C breakout boxes that'll let you plug in all your older stuff.

implying the (((technologists))) at Intel would let you.

USB C is the future. Macbooks are gayshit but at least they're helping the adoption. The problem is apple charges so much money for their horse shit products, other manufacturers will likely use that to justify selling USB C products as apple facing products, ie $$$ products, at least for a while.

people will shrug it off as "beta design" and be thrilled that they were participating the circle-jerk crowdfund.
