Go Vulkan or DX12. OpenGL is shit.

It is worth learning Computer Graphics. That is, the core fundamentals that govern all of these APIs: Vulkan, OpenGL or DirectX.

OpenGL is probably the best to start learning computer graphics, because:
a. It runs everywhere
b. It is clear that Vulkan btfo DX12, and it's a lot easier to learn Vulkan if you already know OpenGL.

In basically every case opengl is still the best option. Vulkan is useful if you're making a really graphically intensive application but it's probably overkill otherwise. I think eventually someone is going to make a proper replacement for opengl using vukan as the basis.

DirectX is over. OpenGL is still fine but something like Vulkan will probly be better for the future.

I'm hoping that new high-level graphics APIs start to get built on top of Vulkan/whatever and that something can supersede OGL, which is a creaky fragile junkpile at this point.
