It might just be a habit. I used to check my phone every time I went to sleep and woke up but I forced myself to not do it and it worked.

Very little positives to smoking unless you socialise with them.

I found myself checking the same shit websites all the time. Just get a generic website blocker addon for your browser to block certain sites during certain hours, or a time limiter.

After a week I stopped mindlessly cycling through the same websites

Humans all crave for instant gratification. It's ingrained into our very DNA. It's just that different people seek different forms of gratification, but the internet is a very common form actually.

There is no definite cure, because forcing ourselves to do certain tasks that delay gratification would go against our very nature.
It's difficult that's all. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
