what about avast?
I heard that they are implementing some kind of machine learning algorithm on their newest behavioral shield

Avast was the best free antivirus (and probably still is) but it's much more intrusive now than a couple of years ago.
The best strategy now is just to use unlock origin and leave Windows defender on. MBAM is worth having just in case you do somehow get a virus.

>needing antivirus in the first place
>unironically using and TRUSTING a cracked anti virus program
Are people really this dumb?

Avast, Nod32 and Malware bytes have been the best free antivirus at one point, they all dive after they hit the top in order to reap their user base.

I've been using NOD32 for years actually. Did I fall for a meme?
It seems pretty average and in line with other AV's. Supposedly NOD32, BitDefender, and Kaspersky are the top 3.

It was the best a few years ago, it was nice and light weight, easy to configure.
Now it and all others are total shit.
Windows has got a bit better now, you are fine as long as you don't install messenger.exe to log into your Facebook.
