This is not trying to be a computer replacement. It doesn't have any of the pro features -- no pogo pin dock connector, no Apple pencil support, no dedicated smart cases (because the dimensions of this one has changed so it's slightly thicker so all of the old cases no longer work).

It doesn't need 4G. And all other tablets that have 4G would require the exact same $100+ USD price premium to get that antenna in it.

Palm rejection is a shitty hack. Your palm will draw on the screen, but on Apps like Procreate, it will automatically undo your palm drawing as soon as the pen touches the screen, also it is very easy to accidentally change the brush opacity or size.

The screen is slick as fuck, so it's very slippery and tilt is nowhere near as responsive as it is on a Cintiq or even a Galaxy Note 4 (or later).

There are some spots where the accuracy isn't dead on under the stylus, unacceptable on something that doesn't and cannot display a floating cursor.


The only good thing I've encountered is that it has very minimal input lag (very slightly better than Surface, noticeably better than Wacom) and the pencil is comfortable to hold.

I seriously don't get all the praise it has been getting other than the fact that it's an Apple product. A lot of artists that have tried a Cintiq or Surface prefer those over the iPad Pro in the majority of the cases.

iPad Air first gen owner here, this thing is 3 years old already, and still kicking ass, running the latest ios. The A7 chip is really impressive, still performing very nicely, no lags at all, battery still reaching 10 hours, I can't even imagine how the A9X Pro's does perform. I just wish I could multitask though, apple jewed this feature on the A7 models.

I will probably literally keep this thing fof more 2 years, then I will probably get a pro with the keyboard

How long does iPad take to charge?

Currently on an iconiatab a500, love it so far but it's stuck on jellybean so I need to update soon. What I love most though is the propriety charger that gets it to 100% in roughly an hour and a half.

Guess it doesn't have any quick charging technology.

Its a gap-filling device. They seem to have deliberatly gimped this thing compared to their current lineup. It doesn't use a bonded display and doesn't have an anti-reflective coating, like the Air 2 did, its also somehow thicker. I do however like what they've done with the chamfer, making it matte instead of polished. Like from the 5S to the SE.
