'cabal' is just a synonym for group.

BTN/PTP/WCD was a tightly bound group of tracker, but 'group' doesnt sound nice so the term cabal was used. Its just 'cabal' term is specific to those trackers. Probably because they had the biggest impact on the torrent scene. The cabal trio is what popularized gazelle in their respective category. For TV, bitmetv used to be way better than BTN, waffles used to be better than what, I dunno about movies but in the end the gazelle group won.

There is also shadow cabal (*bz) and neo-cabal. (you'll have to subscribe to my newsletter to hear about this one)

Fucking seedbox winner on thegeeks is stealing all of my upload. I generally only make it to .5. Jesus christ it was so much better without some no life faggot rapidly refreshing to get every torrent as soon as possible and seed them all, stealing everyones upload. Seedboxes should be banned.
