I dont understand, what do you think they are going to see, through a sticker even. If you are running linux or bsd, which I assume you would be if you are this worried about security and privacy, cant you just uninstall all the software that can access the webcam as well?

Still dont see the point, if someone opens up your webcam and sees a black screen I dont see how they can get much more than that. I would be much more worried about the microphone recording me.
