Hey guys,
Long story short, spilled a cup on my desk and didn't notice till morning. Spilled on the top of my computer while it was powered down. I removed the GPU and flushed it with some 91%iso.
Is there anything I can do?
Is it fucked? The computer seems to work fine with my old GPU in it. I should have waited to make sure it was dry but I needed to use it for school.
Its an RX480

Just want to add, it got inside the GPU. Was dripping out of the heatsink when I removed it.

did it melt?

No, the computer was totally powered off. I don't see any noticeable damage.

I came here to laugh at you.

water doesnt destroy electronics. water causing the device to short circuit does. as long as its 100% dry before you power it on again it'll be fine.
Just disassemble the GPU, clean and dry it and put it back together. If the computer was off then there's no reason why anything should be damaged

So let me get this straight. You turned it back on before it was totally dry, and now your RX480 doesn't work?
You probably bricked your card shithead.

Nope. I turned on the computer after I removed the card.

Check if its fully dry.
If you're willing to do something a tad bit more absurd, try laying it in a bag of rice.
Rice absorbs water, even if you don't see it. Has worked for one my old 670s, phone, and my laptop.
Just make sure to sit it on the backplate.

No. Good ventilation removes moisture more efficiently than blocking the airflow with rice. Put it in a warm/dry place and wait.
