Apple's plastic clam shell phase was pretty ugly.

The original iPod and iPhones were pretty for their day.

Modern Cook ultra-minimalism past the point of practicality is just stupid once you actually hook up all the stuff needed to make the hardware useful. Just think of what a macbook would look like if attach all the dongles, external drives, and other things.

Without Steve Jobs there is nobody in place to keep Tim Cook in check. Now Apple is losing basic functionality like headphone jacks so the design goobs can circlejerk.
