ÿes, and use it on windows, not like fags that use it on a mac
>>59477021
No, that'd be Jupyter Notebook.
How to crack the ENTERPRISE release?
>>59477021
Does it still force you to download 5GB of shit you'll probably never use?
Why everything from Microsoft is easy but is hard as hell when you use a bare Linux distro and try to configure it manually?
Damn last time I tried to do "picture related" with a simple Laravel based website on a Debian and I waste almost a day to have something working.
>>59477106
Nah, it's something like 600Mo.
>>59477106
Oh! You still can download all the shits if you want!

the fact that that it has to migrate shit almost made me uninstall it again
>>59477021
It never was the best IDE.
If you need an IDE, your language sucks.
The only language that seem to require an IDE is C#, because its compiler is garbage and it needs to reference files in a .csproj file.
For everything else, a terminal and an extensible text editor are the best.
>>59477035
thats not an IDE, it's an interactive REPL. Pretty cool, but not an IDE

>>59477021
When will they port it to Loonix? :(
>>59478105
not gonna happen.
If you need to do C# just use monodevelop. Or try VS code

vim + tmux does literally everything vs does and is less than 1gb even with a hit ton of plugins.
VS is 60 gb.
That's because microsoft steals code from open source projects and jams it all together without optimizing it.

>VS is 60 gb.
When will this meme die?
It wasn't 60gb even when it was bloated.....
>>59478327

It is literally only 2.5GB in the latest release.

I'm intrigued, I learned the basics of programming with it years ago, didn't realize there was a modern IDE for it.
>still no full support for modern C++
eclipse > all
KDevelop5 > all
>>59480556
Not even eclipse developers think that. Anyone that has to use Java uses Intellij for a reason

are you fucking retarded?
its fucking 2 lines into nginx conf to make this work
>>59477021
>tfw no WPF for Linux
Mono+winforms was extremely fucked when I tried it. All the form sizes were fucked and all the control and font sizes were fucked.
>>59477462
Holy shit, Delphi is still alive? Who the hell still uses that?
Vim is king, long live the king.
>>59480118
This is Delphi, it was quite popular in the 90s / early 2000s. It's an IDE developed by Borland that uses a Pascal Object dialect. It used to be the best to develop with winforms until Microsoft hired most of the Borland folks to work on Visual Studio.
Apparently, Delphi has managed to survive to this day. I'm guessing it's mainly used to support legacy software nowadays.
>>59481009
I use it at work and believe me, I love it so far.
>best IDE
>still can't fully support C++11
Into the trash it goes.

It is so fucking horribly bloated. In Windows I use VS2008 whenever possible because it actually starts in under 5 minutes.
>>59478980
I have faulty middle mouse button aka 'scroll' so its no option. Also interesting idea.
>>59477021
For GUI IDEs:
Geany > Pre-2010 VS > shit > Code::Blocks > Post-2010 VS > Everything else
