internet speed test thread. only fast.com allowed (other sites are biased because of special optimizations by ISPs).

Use speedof.me
Funny, that site gives me a higher result than speedtest.net.
>>59476635
So much for other sites being biased, huh?
>>59476635
Maybe try as many sites as you can and tell us

but fast.com results can be spoofed
I have gigabit fiber, so the results on fast.com are very inconsistent as their servers don't really want to waste such a speed I guess.

fuck your speed tests

I'll note that this is for the low price of free
got availability up to gigabit speeds
1.1Mb/s Please kill me

This site seems pretty shit.
>Run test: 390Mbps
>Redo: 370
>Redo: 320
>Redo: 250
>Redo: 170
>Redo: 150

The variance is insane, it's totally shit. It doesn't even measure upload, what the shit is this?
Not to mention that the speed it measures is way slower than what I get in practice, like 75+ MB/s on Steam (>600Mbps) and up to like 100MB/s on torrents. Even so the actual numbers aren't as important as the insane variance, it doesn't seem to be reliable at all. It may not be designed for this sort of speed.
I'm currently getting like 310-320Mbps download on speedtest.net, which probably means my ISP is congested as fuck since it's Sunday afternoon and everyone must be using the internet.

speedof.me is shit and inaccurate.
sourceforge.net/speedtest/ is probably the best test because it also measures bufferbloat, packet loss, jitter and all that fancy stuff. Much like dslreports but more accurate.
