I do not have my graphics card supported by Ubuntu.
Does that mean my laptop's CPU overworked because it has to do extra work of graphics card?
I do not play games but still my CPU usage hovers around 20%. Is it because of the unsupported graphics card?
Is graphics card necessary to render things like a DE?
I know that this will not blow up but one correct answer is enough for me.

AMD Linux drivers have been better than Nvidia ones for three years now. They open sourced a massive chunk of it and it's only been improving.
