Hello friends
Is an 1080 ti overkill for my current asus 279Q monitor?
>>59471229
No. You'll enjoy the power on current and future titles.
>>59471486
I was just wondering because I've seen people say that the 1080 was the 1440p card and the 1080 ti will be the 4k card.
But if it isn't the case then fine by me.
I have a pg278q and the 1080ti isn't overkill. You need a ti to get the full 144/165fps everywhere at ultra.
>>59471229
No. Even this kid has two.
You have no excuse.
>>59471561
okay
what the FUCK
And here I am laboring like a fucking slave for this piece of shit card
>>59471534
>4k
There is no 4k card. People who game 4k @ 30/60hz are fucking retards.
>>59471734
Yeah I often see that there are just no good cards for it yet.
This will change in the upcoming 2 years I believe.
>>59471765
Proper 4k gaming is more than 5 years away. Dell just canceled its 4k 120hz monitor, because they couldn't manufacture it for less than $4000.
>>59471734
finally fucking logic
>>59471765
we will have 2160p60 max settings on a mid-range GPU by 2020
10nm node should semi-tackle this

>>59473989
t. Jealous poor person
>>59473989
3 monitors with a different scene on each one.
>>59471561
Wait, how does that kid have not just one, but two custom cooled 1080 TI's when those fuckers aren't even out yet? I'm calling BS
>>59474434
They are regular 1080, but for the sake of comedy and jealousy, the "Ti's" were photoshopped into the picture.
>>59474585
Ah that makes sense. I'm still waiting for my fucking 1080 TI FE. At this point I'm starting to think that it'll arrive after custom ones start going on sale.
