I was just wondering because I've seen people say that the 1080 was the 1440p card and the 1080 ti will be the 4k card.
But if it isn't the case then fine by me.

I have a pg278q and the 1080ti isn't overkill. You need a ti to get the full 144/165fps everywhere at ultra.
