Hey /g/, noob here. Pic related. I've been having extreme problems with my cpu temp, even though I've cleaned it out multiple times. This started about a week or two ago. I'm either really shitty at cleaning or my pc has a virus, but ccleaner isn't detecting jack shit. So the question is, should I system restore to a couple weeks ago or get it checked out professionally?
Edit: It ranges from 60-117. It's usually up in the 100s, though.

Have you tried any other temperature tools? I had an issue with Speccy where it would say my motherboard was over 100 degrees even though it wasn't. Normally your computer would shut down automatically if the CPU was actually that hot.

This. Check the bios first for temperatures. And if your temps are okay, it's speccy.
AMD chips and Speccy don't like each other.

I don't know about that but you got some nice quads.

Well, actually, when playing games I actually do shutdown/crash. That's the reason behind me posting this. But what temp tools do you know of?
have you taken the cooler off to see if thermal paste is applied? could of dried up.
ur cpu shouldnt be functioning at 90+ degrees let alone 100

Now that you mention it, it didn't look like there was any on it.
