F91W is my favorite beater though
I hate the GPD Win shills on this board with all my heart, but I fucking love this thing. Emulates everything up to PSX.
No sarcasm, whats so cool on Casio Watch compared to any other digital watch?
>>59461170
I know /g/ hates it, but the Apple Watch. It's the best smart watch I used, the pairing is reliable, the notifications work better, etc.
Also it's 100% replaced plastic cards for me because I live in a country where Apple Pay is accepted everywhere. I don't even carry a wallet most of the time now. It's fucking great.
>>59461304
Seiko is even more dank when it comes to 80s digital watches.
>>59461304
>No sarcasm, whats so cool on Casio Watch compared to any other digital watch?
Best price/quality. It only costs 15 euros, keeps working for many years, it's water proof (not even advertised), basically the only thing that needs replacing is the plastic watchband. Also, it's so reliable that terrorists use it in bombs.

Water resist =/= water proof baka
>>59461450
whoops wrong model
>>59461456
Then maybe they don't advertise it as waterproof because it isn't?
>>59461470
Maybe they can't advertise it like that because of something they don't do to it in the process of manufacturing, but I can confirm that they are definitely waterproof. I've swam with these watches for many years, never once did any of them die because of water damage.
>>59461466
this looks comfy as fuck, never had one myself unfortunaly
>>59461456
Nothing's waterproof; everything will collapse at some depth (even if the depth only exists theoretically). Casio doesn't use the word "waterproof" because they won't generally even hold up to the pressure of the deep end for more than 30 seconds without leaking (which is something people would probably try if you told them it was "waterproof"). But they'll hold up to being submerged in cup-deep water pretty much indefinitely which is useful.

I just love the aesthetics of these old Casio watcher
>>59461530
>But they'll hold up to being submerged in cup-deep water pretty much indefinitely which is useful.
Can confirm that you can dive to four to five meters deep with them. Just not sure how many times though.
>>59461585
>not sure how many times
The question is not how many times, it's for how long.
>>59461408
>yfw you are one
Uhm, would a shill say that it downright retarded to pay that amount of money for the GPD Win/GPD Pocket?
Because that's exactly what I'm saying.
The price for the GPD XD was al right though, even though I was slightly mad that I also had to pay import taxes.
>Pros
Emulates everything up to a PSX
Playing Doom with D-Touch is god-like
>Cons
Shoulder buttons are incredibly uncomfortable
Emulators =/= the real thing
Backlight bleeding
Chink shit, so if anything happens you can kiss your money goodbye
Would probably buy again though.
>>59461170
Replaced my terrorist watch with pic related. Much recommended upgrade. Just as ugly with way more features and durability.
>>59461699
How does that wristband hold up over the years?
>>59461530
>>59461704
Shrug. I've had it for six months.
This keyboard but in normal QWERTY
The OS, not the device. W10 is a botnet, but I really liked WP 8(.1). Snappy as fuck, my Nokia 630 works as good now as when it came right out of the box, contrary to all Android devices I've ever owned.
Too bad that

1975 King Seiko Special 5256-8010
This 42 year old collection of springs and gears, on average, keeps exactly correct time.
The longest I've ever recorded the accuracy for is 18 days straight. In that 18 day period it never deviated from the exact time be more than + or - 1.3 seconds and finished the 18 days at +0.0 seconds.
This is, by quite a large margin, the most accurate mechanical watch I've ever seen.
>>59461760
I like the thing it does with the background where the "panels" are see-through and the background is shown through them
>>59461170
>>59461184
I switched to one of these.
Pretty much the same price, more and better functions.
Downside is that it is much bigger though.
I liked when computers were predominantly designed as industrial tools, not as consumer toys

Without getting technical, the mechanical movements in those things are hot steaming garbage.
You can buy watches with real actually decent mechanical movements for what Swatch is charging for disposable garbage.
>mfw half of the posts on this thread are candy-ass watches.
>mfw this whole thread is /g/unworthy
>mfw everyone in this thread is probably a phone poster
>>59466357
The biggest problem that sistem51 watches have is not being able to open them up for repair. To be honest, there are some swatch watches that I like, but their shit is far too expensive for me to ever consider buying.
(Not to mention swatch group at large is an extremely jewish company)
So I stick to my seikos, vostoks, and casios instead.

Feels even better to also use it as phone headset and "smartpocketwatch" to read caller id, incoming sms and emails or even place calls or send sms replies from templates.

>using ugly terrorist watches.
You should ONLY use watches for fashion these days, there is no reason to wear one just for its functionality.
Is SPARC completely gone at this point or are there still weird niches that use it?
If you are reading these reviews you are at that point where you need some rational reasons to justify this baby, because, honestly, you are looking at the DW5600 or the GWM5610, and you think "WTF is the deal with this guy here, it's almost the SAME watch, why on Earth would I spend 3x that amount"... well, my friend, you only have to do that if you want to have the honor of owning Mankind's ULTIMATE TIME KEEPING WRIST TOOL.
This guy here is the pinnacle of human achievement* in timekeeping. Every night it syncs itself with an atom hundreds of miles away. Perfect time all the time, because that's what you want from your watch, pure undistilled, no BS time keeping. You look at the screen and you connect to the universe heartbeat itself.
Secondly, the connection with the universe doesn't stop there. It's a Tough Solar, so it has solar panels that collect the energy released by hydrogen atoms fusing together 92,960,000 miles away... think about this fact for a moment.
Ok, now you are like, "yeah, but the GWM5610 does all of this already..." oh, I'm sorry, what if we encase this engineering marvel inside a stainless steel vault so it becomes indestructible? What if we also coat the vault with a polished Diamond Like Coating so you can see your own wrinkles decades from now? What if you remove all the flashy loud colors too, so you can wear it everywhere with anything (with this price you are going to want to)? What if we put this marvel together in Japan so Casio's best employees and tools can work their magic? what about that?
So, do Future You a favor if you like this style of G-Shock, wait and save a bit more, and get it. Future You is going to be really happy and glad that you did.

Also my 1020 stopped working. too bad, it was actually pretty nice with 8.1
>>59468090
the only practical use for developing for SPARC is if you have a warehouse full of Sun/Oracle boxes and want to make a distributed tagged architecture
old Sun boxes age poorly and really have no practical use other than aesthetics or opsec
>>59468221
was just wondering if there is random infrastructure still running on these old machines
obviously this would be rare since there is no more support
is there really any opsec application in modern use? would it be considered sec through obscurity?
I love my kindle.

it's all high fructose corn syrup pretty much in the US. Then for some drinks like the Arizona teas, they also add an extra dose of sucralose because using enough HFCS to make it that sweet would make it too syrupy.
