Alright /g/, do you got a comp sci or info tech degree? And why?

No, because I don't like math. I just do computer stuff as a hobby. If i was better at math and programming, I'd probably do it.

Yes and because it has made me find a job way easier, people may not like it but having a degree shoes you can do much more than just the area you choose to specialise in.

Shoes.. Fuck bring on the abuse then.

Yeah just finished it. I did it because I want that tick on the resume, makes it a lot easier to get a job in tech so I've heard.
I got a comp sci degree. I wasn't motivated enough to learn programming unless I was shoving money at the problem. It helped peak my interest in which topics I wanted to do after graduating and gave me the skills I needed to be good at said topics. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to hop on board the most recent twitter for dogs startup, but it's useful if you want to go into high performance, networks, and low level shit.
I have an it degree, and to be honest it's only useful if you want to go into the corporate world. To be honest, it isn't the most glamorous degree out there, but if your not a total autist you can get places with it.
