I have a question for /g/, as someone who doesnt understand tech that well, what would be the best amd processor for gaming/recording? (price doesnt matter either)
wait for X399. 16 cores / 23 threads. Coming H2.

Retard thats X299
Right now Ryzen 1800x.
Use this site: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/

>wait for....
Ever notice how that's always an AMD fags answer to everything?
Well that's just because intel hasn't released a relevant desktop cpu since Sandy Bridge and 5 generations later the only gain they mustered up is some 10% of this and that. That figure also includes the pricetag, jewtel cuck.
>muh 1000+$ workstation cpu

>Wait to upgrade to our new Coffeelake and Skylake-X motherboards!
>Just wait!!! Our X99 and Z270 motherboards will be worthless, and we'll pay twice as much for 5% more performance, but it'll be worth it just wait!!!
>Oh no.. Snowy Owl is here with 16 cores, 32 threads, and Skylake-X only actually has 12 threads. B-but I still feel good waiting for Intel to feed me more overpriced disappointing shit.

If price doesn't matter, then obviously the 1800X. That's the best one.
If you want better, Snowy Owl may be coming to a HEDT platform like X299 with with 16core/32thread/32mb L3, and quad channel memory support for up to 1TB of RAM.
And even if they don't make a HEDT platform for it, you could just use them like how people use Xeons for desktop with minor issues here and there.
