I'm a steampunk fan building a replica of a laser cannon from Bioshock2.
The back of the gun contains a small round oscilloscope. With the compact design, there's no way to fit an actual oscilloscope into the real structure and still have room for lights batteries, switches and such.
Is there a cheap descent fake equivalent to a round oscilloscope?
how could I fake one?
thanks for your time, please excuse me if I posted this wrong. (first 4chan thread ever. lol)

These retards won't be able to help you. 4chan is the wrong place for help unless you want help to kill yourself

/diy
If you actually want the oscope to move around, Im not sure its possible without modding an actual round oscope into your prop, which you say has not enough room.
Rounb displays aren't common at all. I'd think you could make a decent looking half-assed version that doesn't move with fluorescent paint on a glass lens with a UV led back light to glow the paint
there appears to be round oscope crt's for sale on ebay but they're not cheap.
this guy made one surprisingly compact

rear projection
Arduino and a little display panel shield?

all very good ideas to consider.
I understand this could (or should) have gone in /diy but I thought an oscilloscope might be more up the /g alley of expertise.

this desu.
add a slightly milky film on it to smooth out pixellation and add a lens for additional distortion.
