If you want to fly to ISS, you should pay $ 35M. 4chan traffic is about 10M people per month. So, if everyone will pay $ 3.5 (a cup of coffee), we can launch to ISS first /g/ astronaut. I know, not each who reads this will pay, and /g/ traffic is a lot less than all boards. And not even each tenth, so it will be more than $ 35. I am not sure, but may be we can`t launch /g/ astronaut. Picrandom

4chan should establish its own space colony in a rotating toroid.
you know, the sad thing about this shit thread is that it doesn't even stick out from all of the other garbage threads on this wasteland board

Why? Human spaceflight is pointless. It was never more than a cold-war dick-waving contest.

Maybe to you, nu-male.

The point of going there is to find out about the universe. And you can do that easier and cheaper with unmanned missions. Hauling the fragile hairless apes around and their heavy life-support systems is counterproductive.

He's right though, it's pointless at this moment, we've got enough data on how humans behave with no gravity from ISS and at this point any manned mission is a waste of resources until we can colonize Mars, for the time being, efforts and funding should be focused on robotics, sending machinery/resources to other planets, telescopes and deep space probes.

But human can faster change tasks and make different work
Why would I want to fund the trip? They're just going to be in space, it's for the pleasure of the passengers only. They're not even going to land on the Moon so they can draw a penis so huge it'll be visible from Earth.

I would pay people to kill themselves, but not for this.
