The point of going there is to find out about the universe. And you can do that easier and cheaper with unmanned missions. Hauling the fragile hairless apes around and their heavy life-support systems is counterproductive.

He's right though, it's pointless at this moment, we've got enough data on how humans behave with no gravity from ISS and at this point any manned mission is a waste of resources until we can colonize Mars, for the time being, efforts and funding should be focused on robotics, sending machinery/resources to other planets, telescopes and deep space probes.
