/g/ my hard drive died in my laptop last night so I replaced it today and did a clean install of windows using some recovery media.
Problem is, the drivers didn't auto install(or at least the network driver) so I used my desktop to download all the network drivers for my laptop and installed them but to no avail...I still have no ability to search for any wireless networks or anything.
I've obviously tried extensive amounts of googling but had to come here after exhausting resources
Wat do /g/?
(Other than install gentoo)
you didnt download the right drivers then
go back to the manufacturer's webpage
i dont understand why you think we're going to have some magic answer for you

Use an adaped Gentoo like Sysrescd or Sabayon to inspect your hardware and download appropriate drivers to windows.
Or use a wlan usb stick ob windows.
Did you try the Fn + whatever F key the wireless one is ?

I typed in my laptops serial number on manufacturers website, it took me to the models page, and I downloaded every "network" related driver and installed it...I don't know what more I can do In that regard.
Go into Device danager & under network adapters make sure there's no yellow exclamation mark next to it.
Right click it & select disable, reboot & go back into device manager & reenable it again.
