He's not wrong. The story is about some idiot kid who wanted to stop all of the females in his life from being able to use technology. Until we're willing to level the playing field in highly skilled work areas, the wage gap will never narrow and the oppression women face will never disappear.

The Best Buy employees are the only ones who really fucked with R9K anon (oh, how they have fallen :( ). Mom and sister are just idiots. Could be Dad and Chad bro doing the same thing.
>>
>>59441269
Maybe he shouldn't have been flexing his patriarchy all over them. His virginal ambitions shouldn't have been taken out on his family like that, they were in the right. It's his mom's house, so it's her rules. Despite all the garbage that society has taught him, his penis doesn't make him king of that castle, no sir.

This reminds me of when my dad's friend got high and deleted stuff in his windows folder to make some HD room, so they tried to get me to fix it and the a fucking fit when i said he would have to reinstall Windows

Dubs of truth, apologies for believing the females in that story were intelligent enough to perform actual sexism

There's one guy that comes in all the time with different issues.

>Last week
>Comes in buys a cheap canon printer
>Returns it the next day

I'm kind of an asset to people like this, and I like to poke the bear.

>Ask him why he returned it
>"It doesn't connect to my wireless"
>Okay, sure.
>"Did you install from the CD and follow the directions?"
"...Well I have wifi and this printer doesn't work!"
>"Okay, let's get you a new one"
He takes new one home, returns it later that day with same issue. I mention that we can send out a guy to install it for him and he won't leave til it's done. Costs like $50 or something.

"No way, I don't buy warranties."

Have another coming. On mobile btw sorry for shit quality posts
>>
>>59443140
Same guy, different situation.

He bought Kaspersky Total Security 2017.

">I bought this two weeks ago and it doesnt work anymore.."
"Alright sir, let's see what we can do."

He shows me an email on his phone saying that his 2 week trail is over

I say " you just didn't activate your antivirus that you bought"

He then proceeded to tell at me that he didn't know and it didn't say on the box that he had to activate it.

He asked if he should buy another copy and activate that one..

This guy is in all the time with this shit.

I don't know. We get a lot of people that come in looking for random shit too. Had a guy recently that was looking for a basic little boom mic for his PC.

All we have in my store is Yetis and Snowballs. Tried to explain that we can order it, they just aren't very popular right now.

>Why the hell don't you have them?
>I have lived here for 20 years and used to be able to buy them anywhere for like $2!!
Try to explain that the reason we the ones we have are so pricey is that they are kind of specific and a lot of people want them for YouTube videos and such.

>I'll never be back here this is ridiculous!!

I actually got a bit upset with him And told him that he had a shitty attitude.

He came back about 2 weeks later and bought an SD card. Told me about a guy at Staples that gave him bad service and told him he had a shitty attitude lol

A lady spilled red wine on her MacBook and asked what it would cost to fix, we told her it probably wasn't worth it. She needed a new Mobo and probably lost all her data. She insisted we fix it for her for free because she bought it at BB. She didn't have a warranty or anything, so we wouldn't help her. She complained to our head office and threatened to go to the media and call her lawyer. We never saw her again.

Ah no, I don't see alot of that stuff. I am a sales manager there. I hear about the crazies, but I don't really get to deal with them. We mostly get people like >>59443285
That feel we owe them something g just because they purchased their device at Best Buy. The amount of people that figure that we should honor a manufacturers warranty is just crazy.

People also try to return things way out of policy all the time.

If this isn't /g/ rated enough just let me know. I'm bored as shit tonight.

>>
>>59443361
Lol, well I don't know if I am helping.

I can let you guys in on a little secret though.

By 2020 best buy wants to have Geek Squad in 50% of homes in Canada. To do this, they are going to introduce a new Home Membership. This membership will basically cover all the devices in your home. This is not a warranty, it is a service plan. If you know anything about geek squad services, you will know the difference. Essentially, they are making a Geek Squad botnet to have access to as many devices as they can in any given household. Details are still pretty slim, as it is in pilot in a few districts in Canada.
>>
>>59443418
The scary part of this to me is that it's not unheard of for law enforcement to try to persuade geek squad to help them out.

I have a lot of great business retard stories mostly rednecks and hippies trying to figure out anything in networking. these are all separate stories and I could greentext each one out

>doesn't know difference between public and private IP
>district has 254 public IPs because they don't know how to set up an internal network
>forgets how to set browser to private mode through its shortcut, flips out, hyper stinge, tries to get me fired
>4 different "IT" people don't know what cloning is, they do 40+ pcs manually
>teach people stickykeys password reset and get called a "hacker"
>hippie doesn't know the difference between router and switch
>hippie can't even understand the concept of cloning using more than 1 drive at a time when having to clone a lot of PCs
>guy thinks all free software is pirated and won't read apache license, thinks apache is "pirated version of IIS"
>holds onto ghost 2003 and doesn't understand why it can't work with anything made after 2010 (GPT)
