Why is everyone learning programming? I mean what can you do with it if you aren't working for a corporation? Everything is either out there online in an existing library or can be outsourced to India for pennies.
Serious question.

They're too dumb to do pure math and become a quant.

Instead they do menial programming tasks that can be done by poo in loos.

Are they?
>I mean what can you do with it if you aren't working for a corporation?
I've written several programs for personal use, that automate a lot of the shit I do.
>Everything is either out there online in an existing library or can be outsourced to India for pennies.
That's not true.

Also, programming in itself is fun.

Been programming 38 years. I used that skill to rebuild the shit website for London's awful Bus countdown service to my own preferences.

I now know when the bus is due in 1/10th the time as the formal website, and 1/300th the cost in bandwidth

also kids are stupid and easily coaxed into making stupid decisions
like paying out the ass for a diploma that's utterly worthless in the real world.

Is a phd in CS from mit useless in the real world?
>>
>>59436518
>why is everyone learning programming?
That reeks of confirmation bias.

>CS
