Windows 10 won't boot, it's stuck on preparing automatic repair.
I tried everything, nothing worked. The only thing left to do is reinstall Windows (Jesus Christ, Microsoft tech support sucks).
I don't want to lose all my data. I have it all stored in the same partition where the OS installed. What would be the fastest way to retrieve it?
Thanks in advance, /g/.
grab a ubuntu live cd. boot into it then clone the windows partition onto another drive.
then look through said drive to recover all your data then reinstall windows.
Install your OS on another hard drive.

Put Linux on USB, use it to move files from one partition to another (or another drive), install Windows again.

>windows babbies are this retarded
always warms my heart

Reinstall Windows and it will have everything in windows.old

In addition, you can put Linux on an android device and boot from it as you would from a live USB.

Is this legit? I thought reinstalling formats your hard drive.

No. If you click custom and just choose your windows partition, AND NOT FORMAT (just click the partition and click next or install), it will prompt you that it will replace Windows and put your old Windows installation in a folder called windows.old in the root of your C: drive.

I'd like to believe this but I'm too scared it will delete everything in the partition.

It's true, just don't fuck up by clicking Format.

>Windows 10 won't boot
It's doing you a favor for once.

>Windows
Found your problem
>>59429786
What a fucking tech illiterate, get the fuck off this board

Then backup everything via Linux just in case, an then reinstall without formatting
