I use tabs because they're easier to create and delete.

I use spaces in Python and JS and tabs in Lua and C++ (also spaces for alignment in C++).

Well yes, no one is asking you to press the space that many times you ape. You're supposed to use the tab key even when indentation is set to spaces.

Depends on a project. I'm using spaces in c# and tabs in c++.

i dont know but automatic indenting makes me upset
