What a bullshit dood. 7850/3570k here, pre-2015 games runs great on medium/low@1080p no aa >60fps mostly. 2016-2017 titles seems to totally annihilate fps, can't run shit at ultralow 1080p@60 anymore.

I still love it. Best overall amd gpu I've ever bought even when considering the driver issues I've been through.

I reinstall it when I sell my gpu, and it still works well enough pretty much... kinda dated now though but it makes gpu transitions not horrible.

Shit just works and can do 1080p gaming just foine

My last system had a Sapphire 7950 In it with only 1 working fan. Still was able to play GTA 5 on high for hours on end, although it did heat my room in the process.

The biggest changes are in ALU organization and scheduling, which Nvidia did a couple times and AMD not really at all since 2012.
You could argue that Nvidia is being more responsive in shaping their chips to the changing needs of the market, but it's easy to see why they can't share software/driver optimization efforts as easily across generations.

Got both the 2GB 5850 and a 7950. These things just keep on giving.

I was using a 7950 up to last year, and despite being a huge piece of shit quality-wise because Sapphire had nonexistent VRM cooling and a massive stock overvolt, it handled absolutely everything I threw at it, MGSV included at mostly-maxed settings
