I use my laptop for every class except math. I mean you can take notes with laTex if you're a pro but pen and paper is best for math in my opinion.

For programming classes I download all source code examples ahead of time and I comment on them throughout the lecture so I can refer back to them when I do assignments. I recommend cherrytree for this it's great.

I did have a friend that used his tablet for everything and it worked well for him.

Fellow CS major here as well. I've done the note taking using a 2-in-1 laptop (thinkpad yoga) with a stylus and Microsoft OneNote (yes I know a Microsoft product). Taking notes like this is doable and useful if you put in the effort. If you don't put in the effort then stick with pen and paper and reevaluate how you approach studying.
