have already done a lot of research and experiments for this and I'm currently trying to implement this. But as you can imagine, all of that is much effort and can easily take hundreds of hours. That's net (working) time, not real time. If I worked on Xposed 24 hours a day, that might be done within a week or two. But, in the last year or so, my "time for Xposed stuff" was about 5 hours a week, sometimes more and sometimes less. You can do the math yourselves...

what do you actually need it for?
What I was using xposed for before was:
>youtube adaway
>youtube background playback
>gravitybox
>Lucky Patcher
>Greenify
Every since upgrading to nougat though I've found enough alternatives so that I don't really need xposed. Newpipe has background playba ck and no ads, I don't use apps that require in app purchases anymore (and if I do lucky patcher/freedom still work without xposed), and nougat has the active doze thing so I don't need greenify anymore.

have you looked into magisk?
I've never tried it myself but I think it achieves the same goal.

I know Lucky Patcher is out there but it just seems sketchy to me. Plus I like that Xposed is less detectable.

there's also a cracked apk that does the same thing, but doesn't require xposed.

Other than that though, I can see why you'd want to keep xposed.
Wonder why rovo doesn't just open source it. There are tons of people that are interested in getting this ported to nougat, and I'm sure at least some of them will actually be able to contribute.
