As an elitebook owner, my only real gripe is the battery life. I get ~3 hours on Linux with the battery that came with it.
It's enough for my uses, but coming from an atom netbook that got ~10 hours battery life it just feels lacking.

This is their top of the line model, more expensive than a MacBook Pro
And that's the quality.

The pajet company
HP died in 1999.
Banks and financiers are just playing with its corpse at this point.

I would say their competitor to the MacBook pro is the spectre 13 and 15

Nice
Also, their laptops have been shit since 2012/2013. Some are overpriced and most aren't built well. Keyboards easily fall apart and offer little to no tactile feedback, IMHO worse than Lenovo's chiclet keys that they put a backlight under. 1366x768 is the usual resolution. Hinges are hit or miss, some get looser faster than other (over a span of years, don't worry). Ram is hit or miss as well, my past HP pavilion was advertised to have 4gb of ram, it actually had 3.56(?). I've seen a gaymin model with an AMD CPU and Nvida GPU. Both heat up like a motherfucker.
tl;dr they're shit.
